User services

The pilot study will introduce the following new user services for individual travellers:

  • OPTIMUM’s dynamic charging model will combine historical and real-time data in order to calculate toll fees “x” hours in advance, which will allow logistics companies to plan their routes accordingly.
  • A table of toll fees will indicate price differences according to the day and the week, from which it will be possible to measure the impacts of variable fees on traffic flows, accidents, revenue, maintenance costs, CO2 emissions and noise levels, and to compare differences between the highway network and the national road network.
